These experiences continue to shape my trauma-informed, socially conscious, and person-centred approach to therapeutic support.

The Connection Between Identity and Wellbeing

This work has given me a deep understanding of how trauma, identity, culture, power, and social systems influence emotional wellbeing and mental health outcomes.

Advocacy Grounded in Dignity & Human Rights

I spent more than a decade working within Adult Guardianship across NSW as a substitute decision-maker, responding to complex medical, legal, psychological, and social justice matters. I have advocated for client rights and least restrictive outcomes across Tribunals, District Courts, and the Supreme Court of NSW, always focusing on dignity, autonomy, safety, and empowerment for the people I support.

Trauma-Informed & Culturally Responsive Practice

For more than 15 years, I have worked alongside First Nations individuals, families, and communities across NSW and continue to advocate for LGBTQI+ young people and adults. My work is culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and shaped around each person’s lived experience, identity, values, relationships, and emotional needs.

Supporting Healing Through Integrated Therapeutic Care

I draw from a wide range of therapeutic approaches, integrating Social Work, Psychotherapy, Narrative Therapy, Family Therapy-informed practice, EMDR, and evidence-based psychological frameworks.

Leadership, Supervision & Ongoing Practice

Alongside private practice, I continue to work in part-time leadership and clinical roles as a Clinical Manager within adolescent and family mental health services and as a School Counsellor within an Aboriginal-focused primary school. I also provide clinical supervision to Counsellors, Clinical Social Workers, Psychotherapists, Psychologists, and university placement students.

Building Better Outcomes Through Clinical Leadership

My previous leadership experience includes supervising multidisciplinary teams, leading trauma-informed programs, responding to crisis situations, and contributing to policy reform and service development across Australia.
